Message of spirited birds

Do you know what is the significance of this long legged bird called "herons" and what message they carry?
Well, according to North American Native tradition, the Blue Heron brings messages of self-determination and self-reliance. They represent an ability to progress and evolve. The long thin legs of the heron reflect that an individual doesn't need great massive pillars to remain stable, but must be able to stand on one's own.

Feng Shui - Many Buddha Facets

With 2014 new calendar date, we inspire to mark another promising year of beautiful beginning & achievements. Many of us learn from failures of past year and plan new course of action. New year is that magical time of the year when most of us plant the seeds of positive energies and defeat the negative vibes. Aren't you all pruned up to make this year better than the previous one? Small inclusions in your daily life can help you energize your soul and bring in more harmony and happiness.

Do you know "Feng Shui" pronounced "Fung Shway", meaning wind and water is that body of knowledge which reveals the art of balancing out the positive and negative spirits? This science is a collection of invisible forces that bind the universe, man and earth together. The practice of feng shui runs closely with the rules of architecture to bring about auspiciousness and harmony in life.

Let's start off this year with creating a more peaceful, calm & contemplative energy in the presence of buddha. Interestingly, every Buddha posture finds deep rooted meaning and has spiritual orientation. Buddha postures and gestures have specific goal-oriented meaning in Feng Shui. Before you shop for Feng Shui products, consultation with an expert would be beneficial. It will also help you keep your focus on specific goals rather than abstract ones. It is also important to understand the meaning and symbol in relationship to the area you desire to place it.

Dhyana, or Samadhi mudra, is the hand gesture that promotes the energy of meditation, deep contemplation and unity with higher energy.
The circling of energy created by the triangle (formed when the thumbs of the two hands touch) also promotes a cleansing of any impurities on an etheric level. Buy here

Varada mudra expresses the energy of compassion, liberation and an offering of acceptance. This mudra is also called a boon-granting mudra, because it helps bestow a specific quality of energy one might be seeking from an enlightened being. Buy here

Dancing Buddha, figurative sculpture expresses the focus on liberation from suffering as the path to finding happiness in life. Even under the best of circumstances, life is challenging, uncertain, constantly changing and much of the time it is difficult and out of control. Whether it is taking you on a wonderful ride or stepping on your toes, life dances and you must dance with it. This is the necessary price and mysterious gift of being alive. Dancing with life teaches you how to move from suffering to joy in your life. Buy here

Bhumisparsa mudra, represents unshaken strength. It is usually translated as Touching the Earth, or Calling the Earth To Witness the Truth. It is said to be the hand gesture when Buddha achieved enlightenment. Buy here

Kartari mudra, represents a gesture of weapon or discord. It expresses boldness and confidence to fight all evils. It is said to be the hand gesture when one achieves victory.

Arghya mudra,  is an expression of wish and acceptance. It also represents a disciplined life to achieve enlightenment. Buy here

Buddha sculpture with long ear is considered auspicious as indicate wisdom and compassion. "He hears the sound of the world - hears the cries of suffering beings – and responds.

Nirvana, the state that happens whenever the body has accomplished complete awakening or enlightenment ultimately dies. The reclining Buddha signifies tranquility and absolute detachment from the desires of the world, "All composite things pass away. Strive for your own liberation with diligence." Buy here

The above hand gestures, mudras, does not offer academic theories or promises of finding happiness in life. Rather it is just an approach for challenging the negative vibes. Other spiritual teachers have offered advice on how to deal with negativities, pain and hardship, but it was buddha who specifically focused on liberation from suffering as to the path to joy in life. According to Feng Shui or buddhist approach, it is not necessary for you to adopt a creed, sacrifice your religion or transform yourself into new person. You simply must have faith in yourself to bring about a radical change in how you experience life.

Let me know what is it that you look for in your life and I'll suggest some relevant Buddha statues to you. Wishing all my readers a Very Happy & Blessed New Year!
