Excuse to BUNK!

And its just 3:00 pm. Looks like the time has stopped. I just feel like not working today. In fact, a good break at the office lounge will also do the trick. But how to disappear without getting noticed to the co-workers? Well, designers Rosan Bosch and Rune Fjord have the trick ;)

This metal slide is the best escape route from that tiring day at your desk or a long uninterrupted meeting at Lego's (Lego-Toy Brand) Billund, Denmark office.

Whoa! How much fun!

Well, all I can say is Happy Bunking! ;)

Paint my Love - Green

As my favorite date stands right outside the door, I have been waiting to write this blog since long. But, don’t know where the time is flying. I am just not getting any time. And as I hit the keyboard buttons I wish that my little son sleeps for sometime so I could finish writing this blog.
My favorite date is just right there…YES! Feburary 14th, Valentines day. I love it! Obviously, not only I get to spend some time with my husband but I am pampered with a nice precious gift too! ;) LOL. This year will be more special as we will be celebrating it with our 8 month old son.  I am not sure about what I am wearing but I have already purchased my son’s clothes. OH MAN, Life has changed! And now before the topic gets changed as I can go on & on about my little one, lets stay focused!

As soon as the word Valentine comes to my mind,  what comes next is the color RED. Well, its not valentines synonym.  Than why always Red color is associated with valentine? I don’t think that the color of love is RED too. May be we are always associating it with out heart. Any décor, any space, tables and you name anything is all dressed up in white & red. Last year when I had valentines day party at home, I had white & red balloons all across the floor to welcome my guests. The dress code was red. Table settings to dishes were done in white & red. No doubt, the party had to be a hit. But now I am just bored of this red color. 2012 color trend is all vibrant hues followed by colorblock. As on my 1st blog I stated that color block is the key to 2012, I was thinking of a colorblock valentine's day party. But I was a little skeptical about my own reaction. Do I seriously want a colorblock party? And I knew my answer was NO because I definitely want something different. So whats the idea? My idea of a perfect Valentine this year is GREEN. Nops, not the color green but I am talking about being ECO FRIENDLY. Right from when the party starts till the party ends. Paint my Love-GREEN!

Here are some of my inspirations:
1. I liked the simplicity of this idea.

I adore lavender. And I think a lavender color setting can be gorgeous as red too. I also liked the use of eco friendly twine.

As I look at this beautiful color palette & the craft sticks, what comes to my mind is using these sticks for writing the guests names. It can lay on top of the dinner plate or on side. Might be a little pop of glitter can set the party mood. For a small fun game on the dinner table, these would be a fantastic use as the person knows where he has to sit.

I am sure this sustainable table of succulent plants will leave the guests talking till you throw the next party! To keep it simple & quick for just the party night I have a simple DIY. Get the grass out from the backyard and lay it on top of an eco friendly table linen using an adhesive. A good amount of grass will be needed. Give it a nights time to settle down. To bring out some accents, adding some pebble stones will make it look more beautiful.

3. A perfect valentine dinner/date with loved ones without desserts is just incomplete. A fantastic inspiration from weddingchicks.com

Desserts on logs of wood. I think this wooden log makes a perfect centerpiece.

4. A wonderful gift idea for loved ones waiting on the dinner table via http://www.weddingchicks.com/2011/07/06/do-it-yourself-easy-eco-friendly-place-settings-and-favors/

 5. Another fantastic DIY plantable gift idea! I think wrapping up the can in sisal/any eco friendly material or paint will make it look more fancy for the occasion.

6. Adding a little bit of red color accent to the party will set the right mood for Valentine. I liked this simple DIY project of making glitter stamped pear centerpieces.

1.        7. These were basically eco christmas decorations which I found on design-decor-staging.com. But, I think they go pretty well with eco valentine celebration too.

     8. There are lots of recycled dinnerware available in the market. But these rehabilitated dishware by Sarah Cihat is sure going to make the dinner experience more memorable.

These dinnerware's are reincarnation of unwanted ceramics which are bought form various second hand stores like Thrift store & the rejected pile at retails.

9    9. The below picture was taken from my trip to Brugge,Belgium in 2008. These ceramics (choose eco ones) can be used as planters. The 2nd image is an inspiration.

These also make up for a good accents to be used in the house if you are a shoe fetish (referring to my High Heel Shoe Fetish Blog). I also added a new pin beautiful eco friendly heels to "My Style" board. Follow me on Pinterest for more.

      10. Not to forget the top among the list! Some shopping for myself! ;) Here are some of my favorites via ecoetsy.com

Beautiful Rainbow bangles which also make a color block fashion statement.

Jute purse

Paper bead necklace

Bonsai accessory for home

Hope these inspirations will make you definitely go ECO FRIENDLY this Valentine! I would love to hear from you so keep me posted about what finally you came up with. Till then Wish you a Happy Valentines Day!!
